Luck is When Preparation Meets the Opportunity

I heard that quote on Oprah once. It has stuck with me since because I firmly believe that a person can bring fortunate things to their own life...You work towards a certain goal and with the right amount of effort, it will happen. Sometimes people give up too easily on difficult tasks and then are disappointed when things do not go their way. Remember to keep your chin up and move on---whatever the goal may be, it will happen. I just hope your goal is not a sin or something...that I do not condone.

The reason for Crumbs of Sourdough Bread is to keep everyone at home connected with me and my adventures in NYC. I'm leaving my home for a whole semester an I'm uneasy about the whole transition. It will be an exciting experience for sure, but I want everyone to have a little "crumb" of my experience. Join me! Read everyday. Make suggestions. What do you want me to see?

A lot has happened in my life since the end of my Freshman year of college...In summary: I applied to study at NYU for a semester (Go to: http://www.nyu.edu/spring.in.ny) and was accepted in September. Then everything began falling into place. Internship at the Today Show. Scholarship to soften the financial blow. Now I'm finalizing the paperwork, and the whole thing seems more and more likely. I need to make sure I will not suddenly screw it all up...It'll be good.

Thanks to MVille Marketing Department for this idea. I hope to turn this into a great side project.

Lots of Love,
Jessica
