Busier Than Ever!

I finally completed my first paper at NYU. I apologize for the delay in posts! I haven't done much this past week except catch up on my school work. Ironically though, I had to visit the Lincoln Center to watch a production of Carousel for my American Musical Class. After, a friend of mine suggested we try rushing for a show.  For a grand twenty dollars, I saw South Pacific on Tuesday!!! The story is about two lovers during World War II. The challenges each character endures deals with separation, racism, and well--War. Overall, Laura Osnes was superb and the live orchestra band was an experience of a lifetime. Being at the Lincoln Center where many famous artists have been was just interesting to be a part of. I definitely will go back to take pictures :)...

Friday night I was fortunate enough to be invited by my TODAY coworkers to see Shutter Island.  Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese can always deliver a guaranteed good film. Or, at least one to make you think. I'll admit it is not my typical movie, but occasionally I enjoy dipping my foot into the scary water of a horror movie. This was a flat out psychological thinker and kept me at the edge of my seat the entire time. The moment the film begins, everything already feels tense and ominous. See it, but be warned of jumping a few times.

Saturday Night (Pictured above) I caught up with a friend I met a month ago and headed to Max Brenner Chocolate Factory. First, I want to try their food out--I wanna go again. Second, most expensive place I've seen yet. The cake above was 13 dollars.

So rich, so delicious. Thirteen Dollars. This is called the Melting Heart Cake. Pictured is me pouring Chocolate sauce on top of a chocolate cake with strawberries. Inside the cake is a warm rasberry center. To the left is a scoop of vanilla bourbon ice cream and to the right is a chocolate shot. The shot was disappointing, it was mostly whipped cream on chocolate milk....

Sunday I met up with my TODAY coworker to watch a play called RACE. Three lawyers try to solve a case involving lies, a possible rapist, racism, and a red sequin dress. Featuring James Spader, David Allen Grier, and Kerri Washington, RACE was a surprising little play. I enjoyed it very much and the witty, smart dialouge keeps the story going.

Until I have more stories...
